Some Russians have been protesting the war:
"Some 1,745 people in 54 Russian cities were detained, at least
957 of them in Moscow."

CNN showed a photo yesterday of a couple getting married, and
today the same couple armed and ready to fight.
NATO Response Force has been activated for the first time.
Russia threatening Finland saying "would have serious military
and political repercussions." if they joined NATO with an finger
pointing up emoji.
Maybe time to suspend Russian government accounts on Twitter.

I am happy to believe that Ukraine is fighting back valiantly
and i hope they are being successful.
However, claims of vast numbers of Russian personnel killed or
captured and vehicles destroyes, whilst no such figures for
Ukrainian losses makes me doubt the veracity of the reports.
Handing out automatic weapons to anyone (if that is true) smacks
to me of desperation, not of a government in control. I know
that many Ukrainians have had military experience and I hope it
is these reservists who are being armed.... not just anyone.
Disinformation comes from all sides in war - as they say, the
first victim of was is the truth.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said that it has disabled
Ukraine’s air defenses and air bases and that Russian
forces have destroyed more than 70 military targets, including
11 airfields, a helicopter and four drones.
At least 137 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians had been killed,
President Volodymyr Zelensky said. Russia lost two helicopters
and seven aircraft in combat, officials said.
The ground invasion followed heavy shelling and airstrikes that
began just before dawn local time. Those attacks had targeted
cities, airports and military infrastructure across
Ukraine
So much for not invading Ukraine

Twitter has been busy banning users reporting from Ukraine, but
continues to permit the Russian Government tweeting veiled
threats to other countries.
BC Government (I think other provinces have as well.) is
suspending sales and imports of all liquor from Russia.
BC public service pension plan however apparently has $450
million invested into Russian state owned or oligarch backed
companies, mostly in the oil, gas and mining sectors, some
public pressure for the pension to divest these assests.

Evraz North America has a big steel mill in Regina and 29% of
Evraz is owned by Roman Abramovich. Not only is the mill a
significant employer, what comes out of there is mostly pipe for
pipelines, further complicating things politically.
The conservative Saskatchewan Party keeps getting elected
because of the agricultural/rural voters, and there are a lot of
people with Ukrainian heritage in that demographic.
