Anarchists, punks, and lefties. ;D They still are.

Thankfully he's not a Tory politician, but nor does he look like
a left-wing radical. I think he might still be wearing the same
       jacket...

Oh yeah, I didn't stop to think about the incongruity of you
with a skinhead - my knowledge of British youth cultures is
       rather limited 😂

Smoocher boy and I were too young for any of that anyway. We
hadn't formed any political opinions, he was just a boy in a
velvet jacket in the garden in the dark, by the rhododendrons.

I thought the British skins in the 70s were the anarchist punks,
and it wasn't until the 80s when the National Front twats popped
       up.
As far as I know the 'real' skins love nothing more than kicking
       the shit out of Nazis.

Early skins, yes, I think you're right. But I wasn't old enough
to be out on my own snogging them though :D
Early on, it was a working class movement I think, and musically
connected to reggae and ska and corresponding cultures. But I
think the right wing stuff started to rise in the late seventies
along with the National Front, because that's what I remember
and mostly associate them with at that time. Maybe the right
wing ones were just more prominent or louder or something, but I
       associate them with "p***-bashing" activity.

Yeah, started in the 60s I think, and was heavily associated
       with ska.
The NF scunthorpes appeared in the 80s and since empty vessels
rattle loudest, they're the ones who the group is associated
       with the most.
As the Dead Kennedys said though, Nazi punks, fuck off.

The only thing that I have in stock from them is a 7" vinyl of
       "Holiday in Cambodia".
Anything else that I should follow up on?

I don't really know their stuff beyond that title lol!
I'm more of a Rage Against the Machine or System of a Down kind
       of guy lately.
