I'm half Welsh, My paternal grandmother was Myfanwy - my Dad was
born just outside Cardiff, I had a great-uncle Llewellyn. :D

I think it's sort of meefanwee or maybe one of the Ys is
pronounced as a U.
Perhaps DLD knows.
But it's me reading it as it looks so I laugh. It's not out of
place in a carry on cast of characters.
Maybe someone even wrote an ode to her. :D

Happily, no. :D
So it sounds like mufanwu.
Oh well, that's one laugh I won't have again.
I've still got Willie though.

Depends where you are in Wales. Around here, it's pronounced
muffanwee.
The first two pronounciations here
HTML https://forvo.com/word/myfanwy/
are South Wales, and the 3rd
tends to be North Walian.

My Grandmother was living in South Wales, hers was pronounced
'Muvanwee' - but she may have had North Walean parents :D
