       I'm half Welsh, My paternal grandmother was Myfanwy - my Dad was
       born just outside Cardiff, I had a great-uncle  Llewellyn.  :D

       I think it's sort of meefanwee or maybe one of the Ys is
       pronounced as a U.
       Perhaps DLD knows.
       But it's me reading it as it looks so I laugh. It's not out of
       place in a carry on cast of characters.
       Maybe someone even  wrote an ode to her.    :D

       Depends where you are in Wales.  Around here, it's pronounced
       muffanwee.
       The first two pronounciations here

       are South Wales, and the 3rd
       tends to be North Walian.

       My Grandmother was living in South Wales, hers was pronounced
       'Muvanwee' - but she may have had North Walean parents :D
