I feel quite threatened.

Okay, so I was riding my horse in a random direction, just
loving to be riding a horse on BC, when I remember Id's post
about the farlands and I ask a Mod "Whats the thing with the
farlands?" because I didn't know why Id was so angry. He/She
told me it caused lag, which I then understood. said Mod then
proceeds to threaten me saying "So get out of there" I tell him
unknowingly "I'm not in the farlands" The mod checks my co-ords
and tells me that I'm close to 30 thousand (which appearandtly
is where the farlands is) then I tell him/her that I rode my
horse in a random direction, he/she asks me how I got there. I
proceed to explain to him/her that I have a house there because
there are horses on a plains biome. He/She tells me to delete
that house and leave. I had no idea the farlands where near 30
thousand blocks, or that they caused lag in the first place. I
made that house because I felt my old house got bland and plain,
so I wanted to re-energize me and give me a reason to play on
BC. My newer "farlands" house is now abandoned. I personally
feel threatened how I was basicly kicked out of my house.
For those moderators that pretty much hate my guts, go ahead and
give me another reason why I shouldn't be playing on this server
anymore

Let me fix this story. You were near 30 million. not 30
thousand. You were at roughly 29,999, 400 by 29,998,700.

The Farlands seems to be like Area 51 or the Bermuda Triangle.

An area off limits in one way or another... And to never return!
Dun dun dun.
I have no idea what this place is though. But if it indeed does
cause lag... We will need to look into it.
:P

There was no lag, no one complaining about lag when I was on in
that area, nothing of the laggy sorts. I had some frame rate
issues, but thats just my crappy laptop.

:P Well coincidentally the disconnections have been far less
frequent (Almost to none) since ID seems to have blocked off
this laggy area.
I am skeptical as well to believe it became a problem on the
side of affecting server performance; things like that usually
show up in the console for a quick-fix.
Regardless, he/they seem to have their reasons to abandon the
area. Look at this as an opportunity to build bigger and better
elsewhere upon your relocation!

Where would the farlands start as I had the same problem with
any admin yellying at hi and threating me

It seems like the nether farmlands does the most damage with
lag.

A nice reminder and request to run off in the other direction
would have been appropriate, since you had no idea you were
headed into a restricted area. Ahem ahem, staff.
But in any case, Alton, if you'd like, I can help you build a
new home, if that would help. I won't be on for a few days,
seeing as I'm on a road trip, but if you feel like waiting, I'd
be happy to assist. :)

The farlands since their change in the full release's first
update, have been reduced to a way that they cause NO lag for
the player in the farlands. But on servers they cause players a
ton of lag. Like with players in the nether farlands causing
crashes nonstop. The overworld farlands aren't as bad due to not
being affected by the nether's 8 block = 1 block overworld rule.
But it still generates lag.
