You are correct. :)
However, staff will have the final say in another week from now.
These votes will only help determine whom the community feels
most responsible.
- Due to popularity contests, this extra step was needed for
those who do not take it seriously.
Our staff now know what it takes to be a staff member. Should
they think a player with one vote is more responsible than a
player with one-hundred is plausible.
By applying, what that shows to me is the player wishes to take
on all the challenges a Moderator role faces.
Unlike before when we would surprisingly hand out the positions
to who we thought most capable but they ended up leaving due to
it becoming a stressful chore.
This thread was also left unlocked unlike last time to give
players better reasoning behind their votes rather than just Oh
well yeah... We bro-fist a lot.
Our community is very spread out with around two hundred
regulars. Hopefully a good few will provide these reasoning's.

while im sure i could get elected as a mod, i havent been on
much, course that being said if it turns out that i am wanted as
a mod i will obviously make sure to be on at least an hour or 2
per day.

Just because you didn't get to throw your name into the hat
doesn't mean you don't have a chance at moderator. And just
because someone wins the votes here doesn't mean he or she will
become a moderator. Remember, this was just to see the
community's thoughts. Overall, the vote still comes down to
staff and, ultimately, Mike.

On second thought, I volunteer.
My qualifications are that I'm an adult and that I've been a
forum mod on a web forum with 100,000+ active posters. I've also
organized and served as officer for various large guilds and
things such as that. Too late for the vote, I know - but staff
should know that I've changed my mind.

Staff voting starts Monday with most of the feedback on this
thread given by you playing a huge part.
Anyone who has yet to cast a vote or put in a good word for
someone, please do so before then.
This poll will not be locked, but decisions will be able to
start earlier and easier.
