Plug-in suggestion: modreq

it lets players do /modreq (message) to submit a request for a
staff member to tend to. It's a way to que problems so players
don't spam chat asking for help. I mod a server that uses it and
it's very helpful.

I like it. But I dont think we hav that many events that happen
without a mod.
Its a nice mod, id like it as a player and mod, but not my call.

I think it would only be if a mod/admin wasnt on. U could in a
sense leave a msg that could be fixed even if u were offline.

I know what they could do...
Step 1: Take screenshot...
Step 2: Remember cords.
Step 3: Post on forums screenshots + coordinates :)

I'm for this plugin.
a. it's much faster than screenshot/post
b. it's much easier than forums for newbies who don't really
know about the forums
c. it's much more likely to get used for smaller things that
SHOULD be reported, but aren't because it's too damn much
trouble to go to forums for it.
and finally
d. it's far more private than screenshot/forum post. So say
someone does something extremely messed up and needs to be
reported for it.. maybe I don't want the community (or that
person) knowing I reported said person, to avoid confrontation
later. Modreq lets me do it without announcing it to the world.
(Not an issue I would have, but we have young people, and there
are lots of socially awkward people out there that won't report
things because they don't want to deal with the aftermath.)

100% agreed with Lunatic. Having a formal method of requesting
staff assistance without having to spam global chat would be a
godsend. Plus, the current system of "take screenshot, upload it
to imgur/photobucket/what have you, post it on the forums, wait
for a staff member to log on and see it" is a bit convoluted for
a lot of the newer/less technically savvy members. Plus, modreqs
queue up, which would be handy for when there's 4-5+ players
needing help. Rather than having them spam chat with ADMIN PLS
GRIEF HELP ADMIN ten times over, they submit one modreq, and
wait patiently.
It'd take time for players to become accustomed to using it, but
in the long run I think it could save BC a lot of trouble.

The thing about /helpop is that it basically just sends a /msg
to online staff. While useful in its own right, it's completely
pointless if no staff is currently on. With /modreq, not only do
they queue up like /mail that any staff member can read, but
there's also the /tp-id command, which allows a staff member to
teleport to the location from which the /modreq was made, in
case the reporting player is offline at the time the staff
member logs on.

Yeah I just tested /helpop and as a mod I didnt get anything.
That may only go to Admins and if they are online.
