team speak needed for events

I am making this thread to say and see if other people agree
with me that BC needs team speak. Team Speak would allow for
players with slower computers and or no skype to still talk with
there team mates with out typing every word. you can say what
you think.

What's the difference between TS and Skype? :P

TS tends to take up less in the way of system resources and
bandwidth, since it's usually set to a hotkey. You can also
have everybody playing on the same TS server, and break them
into channels. Bandwidth wouldn't effect me, but not everybody
has access to a really strong connection, and that little bit of
latency might mean life and death in a hungergames match.
Just a thought.

I think team speak would be somewhat helpful. Since the pros of
Minecraft (AntVenom, CaptainSparklez, SkythekidRS, etc) use Team
Speak I'm pretty sure to avoid millions of requests, it would be
suggestible. Since Skype can make your FPS for a lot of
computers drop down, team speak I think ups your frame rate of
computers I think, some computers that can barely handle
Minecraft like mine's should use team speak. Since I am used to
low FPS, I can use skype while I Minecraft. So I think it's a
good Idea.

Another benefit here is privacy.. I like people on BC, but I'll
be very blunt. I don't want to give out my skype info to hardly
anybody.. I'm pretty big on privacy. Being forced to hand out
skype info just to use voice for a hunger games match may well
be my deciding factor for not participating.. that or I'd stick
to text communication only.

I think that this would be nice with the organization and
bandwidth/computer resources, and we could have a few channels -
Staff, Payers, Lobby, and VIP,...
-------------------------------------------------
This is just a suggested layout.
-------------------------------------------------
Staff - A channel for staff to chat and discuss events.
Players - A place for player who are on the Minecraft server.
Lobby - A channel for everyone playing every game
VIP - A place for VIPs to talk, and chat.

Nice grouping Ajz. This could work for games like the Survival
Games, spleef, Pvm, etc. So I would agree with this group. Also,
we should have custom groups so players on a team can still talk
to each other.

With respect on that. Yes it would be very very helpful for
events, as well as videos. But as you guys all know... some on
the people on this server, i can't stand... and if they join a
'channel' may i say, this is the same for many, huge fights will
commence. I understand how easier it is, but you must consider
the fact that anyone can join a channel, if you so put the
option so. The reason why i chose skype is that i kinda know who
it is, and i know i can stand them, that they are not stupid, or
someone i hate.
Thats my say on it.

Lol true, true. And like a lot of players on the server that
don't know about the forums, they probably wouldn't know and
find out about team speak unless one of their friends that are
trusted or a higher rank tells them. And remember, the people
who have laptops with internal microphones (which not a lot of
people with have ) can use teamspeak to their benefits. And
besides, it's worth a shot to try it ;D
