I don't see the point of everyone being able to buy more
tickets.

Considering everyone can buy the same amount, raising the amount
you can buy is pointless cause it doesn't really increase
anyone's chances. Just more money being spent.

You can buy up to 5 tickets if you want or only buy 1 ticket.
/lottery buy # (/lottery buy 2) gets me 2 tickets.

He is referring to how everyone always buys the max amount
anyways. Killing hte point of raising the amount we can buy.

This.
More tickets allows bigger pots.
Not everyone can always afford 5 tickets, which then improves
your chances rather than just increasing the price of the
tickets.
