This is starting to get really annoying....

Okay this is getting really annoying. A short time before I was
given the mod rank whenever I join the server lag is UNBEARABLE.
My internet connection is fine and this has only started TODAY.
Now whenever I join everything is frozen in place, like time has
stopped and Only I can move, Everything I type takes almost a
minute to come up, and creepers that are 50 blocks away from me
blow me up within seconds with this MONSTROUS lag. And after
about 5 minutes of that happening I get disconnected cause my
java read has timed out
All my graphic settings for minecraft are at their lowest
settings, and this lag is really starting to interfere with my
new job as a moderator. I can't help anyone, do anything, or go
anywhere without either sinking slowly into a world hole, being
blown up by a super sonic creeper, or just having my dam Java
Read time out.
Anyone know whats going on? Cause as stated in the title, This
is getting really annoying. >:(

Lumpy, its not your fault. I occasionally get his too. My
diagnostic of this is host lag. Console lag or lag on the host's
server computer. Lots of RAM is required for running a server,
and for continuous hosting all day, it can cause major lag on
the hosts part. Also depending on how far away you are from the
host, that can greatly effect your performance.
All I can say is There is really nothing you can do, sorry Lumpy

Good thanks guys, I'll log back on in a bit. I noticed my java
was a bit out of date while I was poking around in my computer.
I'll be back on once its done

Well java will definitely effect Minecraft performance. Make
sure you've got the 64x or higher (if there is one already)

I have java 32 bit and it has been running the game just fine
for me until recently
