Unfair Jobs thing. Please read if you can.

Hey guys. Dan here. A lot of you have heard about Nick changing
up the jobs a lot. So because I am a level 75 miner, I go about
$73.95 per each stone I mine and used to get like $277.38 for
each piece of obsidian i mined. Now I think because now I get
$73.95 no matter what I mine. Mossy cobble, restone, diamond,
you name in the job, all worth the same. Since obsidia, diamond,
etc is a rare-ish find, why should you get the same amount of
money and xp for each piece you mind to what you can find HIGHLY
easy. I think that's unfair about that.

I would have to agree with you on most of that. I do agree
ores/wood/items/ect should be based on difficulty or rareness.
However whats to prevent someone making an obsidian machine and
mining like crazy as apposed to the old way with lava and water.
Do items placed by players count towards the job? ie: placing
diamond blocks everywhere and then mining them. That should not
count and you shouldnt get paid for a block you've already
mined.

I agree. It's pretty pointless to have someone who places a
block that is already mined and gets more money for mining the
same block. Isn't there a plugin somewhere out there to prevent
that?

Yes, you can place a block and break it again to benefit from a
job. This was a compromise Nick made to prevent abuse. As a
builder, I could have placed and broken diamond/gold blocks over
and over, and got 10x the money of stone, and I can break it
just as fast...
Possibly a plugin, but I don't feel we need to keep adding
plugins to fix small issues with another plugin.

Regardless, I will take another look over the plug-in here in a
little bit -> tomorrow.
The config is ENDLESS so I'll see what else I can do to
manipulate what seems to be troublesome.

If that's your plan Rapid, then I believe the problem is already
fixed. Your birthday plan is the reason why certain blocks
shouldn't have higher value with /jobs. It's already really
easy to get money, but making certain blocks worth more, with an
enchant like silk touch, creates another loop hole like sugar
cane.
In my opinion.

I honestly like the job system where I get paid for just doing
things like my projects, Why cheat at it? It just makes you look
kinda pathetic. Besides whats better then getting paid for
making something awesome as builder? Or helping your friend
level the land for a new creation?
Thats why I think the job system should have it so you get the
same amount for everything. Keep it fair, and you still get
cash. So don't complain cause ya can't cheat :3

Agreed with both of the above. :P
The real money maker is selling your produce at /Warp Shop, and
other player shops!
/Jobs & /Lottery are just that extra boost when gathering the
materials.
By default, the prices were wrong in the first place. I think
leaving well enough alone right now is well enough.

But Gazkam if I break a Iron Ore I get $20 of something alike
that but if I place one I lose $20 so you can't really heat that
I know of
