deplorable behaviour

ok, so after watching the chat I've had enough of all the
complaints and people whining about what they lost, who took
what, and what they "should" get for competing in the dome.
and then having the gall to just absolutely bitch to nick about
all that, after the spends HOURS building this stuff and setting
up all the plug ins etc. people have the balls to complain to
him.
I find this appalling, the greed, the rudeness, the language,
all of is is just deplorable and not at all what this server is
about.
it is a well established fact that if you go to PVP you WILL
lose items and XP. everyone knows this, there are warnings
everywhere.
if you don't want to lose your enchanted diamond gear, DON'T
BRING IT! simple.
people have said that PVP has ruined the server, that a load of
bollocks. I rarely do PVP, and I love this server, i've made
alot of good friends here, and i intend to stay, minding my own
business, chatting, helping out with stuff. PVP hasnt ruined
anything, its people who arent mature enough to realize this is
a GAME.
I lose enchanted diamond gear all the time and levels all the
time, you get over it, not bitch and complain.
i was trying to have a civilized conversation with a friend, but
99% of the messages in the chat were curses and complaints. had
we all been in the same room like an old school LAN party, i
frankly would have gotten up and smacked all of those involved
with a 2X4.
one even had the balls to curse at Ellunas. you do not EVER
curse in the presence of a lady, and certainly not at her.
the lack of respect i saw tonight made me sick, and i hope to
never see it again.

Well said row, and yes, staff will have to discuss what can be

I had a .. issue I could not come back last night, my apologies.
I spent almost 2 hours as the only mod, didn't get to do
anything, but answer questions and follow people around who were
being accused of cheating in pvp.
I set a flag in the pvp area to block /tpahere while inside the
dome. This is to prevent people from trapping people (because
of the 3 second TP) in the area to kill them.
No matter what rules you put in place. If it is real pvp there
will be loopholes and their will be complaining. I feel like
the original PVP was rather.. boring and repetative, but it was
fair and balanced. No items were lost, so there was no
complaining. Too bad the plugin was such a burden on the
server.
There is a reason I play on this server, I enjoy most of the
people, some quite a lot, and there isn't really that much
griefing and issues. Its rather calm really... Some nights it
gets hectic, but for the most part its manageable. If this is
how PVP will influence the server, I don't think it will be a
good addition.

Well said all of you. I did complain about loosing my items a
little, because Rapid killed me while I was looking at the new
arena :-[

Last night's behavior really was incredibly irritating. As it's
been said, we all know what happens when we enter a PvP area.
The items you take with you are at risk; if you can't stand to
lose them, then don't take them. There's no good reason
whatsoever to start complaining and claiming that Nick has
"ruined" the server by implementing this plugin. You don't have
to use it. I don't, and I get by perfectly fine.
I absolutely agree with Gaz that if behavior like this
continues, then PvP should probably be done away with. There was
a lot less bull-headed ranting before. Please don't ruin it for
everyone else who enjoys PvP by being petty. If someone happens
to get an item of yours that you really don't want to part with,
feel free to ask for it back, but if they say no, then please
just drop it. You can always replace it with a bit of work.
Minecraft is a game. A game. There's no need for rude behavior.

Many survival servers offer PvP. By introducing Player Versus
Player into BeardedCraft,
My hopes that the fun of the server would increase and
accommodate everyone's needs; now seems quite naive.
By limiting player on player contact only in selective areas,
the hostility should have been kept to an all time low.
As we can see, it's not. And I blame it partially on the age
group of the players whom play.
Age does not always determine maturity, but it certainly
promotes it.
By having friends from the server acquire the RoleModel rank,
aspirations to excel was also a mistaken hope.
I appreciate all of the above support. And I can promise you
change will be in the near future if it can't work out on it's
own.
BeardedCraft has the most helpful, fair and friendly staff in
MineCraft that I've ever known.
I'd really hate to change that perspective.
I also appreciate those of you who continue to enjoy the server
without creating conflict -- And even help remedy it.
I dismiss a lot, I'm sure we can all agree on that. So...
Let this be the last warning to those ruining the BeardedCraft
community,
Get your act together before we do it for you.

I know i havent been on for a good bit as i do have other stuff
to do, but when i was, there was so much immaturity, granted i
am 12, but all of these complaints and swearing, i had to use
private messaging. Yes it did stop for a bit, but the maturity
level of the server has really gone down to a low. The swearing
is just, wow, yea i do swear, but openly swearing, complaining.
Just, something needs to be done

Sorry ajz for killing you but you got all your items back and
you lost some xp and i said want to use a blaze farm to get it
all back and more and you just yelled at me even though i gave
everything back and tryed to give you more stuff but you argued
but sorry

again, its all coming down to maturity. some of the kids on here
are, and many arent, its the same with any server. just hope
that people learn from the experience

Though I agree its the same for many servers, and many different
games. Its poor management that will allow it to take over and
destroy a good community server. I know Mike, Nick and the rest
of us Staff will NOT let that happen.
As Nick said, punishments may become much harsher in the near
future. We all want a drama free, fun server.
