Some Clarification on LandOwnership

Due to a recent issue involving me and a player that shall not
be named. I would like at least somewhere on the forum to
specify how one claims a land as their own. See as many know I
have been building on an island for quiet some time. And the
previously said user started to yell and rage at me saying i
built on their property. Now, of course, this was do to a
misconception over what counts as landownership. And For me
posting this thread, it is simply to prevent further issues for
anyone else. DON'T HATE ME FOR IT X3
And well after a lot grovelling, mediation from ID, and a sort
of compromise was made. I was thinking we need a thread of sorts
discussing what can be used to claim land. So here is a list of
what counts as land claiming to avoid this issue later on.
What Counts as Land-Claiming
- Building a house or structure on said land, assuming someone
else hasn't claimed it either.
- Leave a form of evidence, such as a sign claiming you said
land.
- Basically anything place-able to claim the land.
What doesn't count as Land-Claiming
-(This applies to islands only) Simply building nearby the land,
(i.e on water or another island) doesn't grant you ownership of
said land.
- Simply saying the land is yours without any proof
- You can not claim land by simply being the first to find it.
YOU MUST BUILD ON IT FIRST!
Anyways these are just the basics. And to prevent further issues
of this subject. Do not hate me, or say I'm mini-modding, I'm
just trying to prevent this problem from occurring again. :-\

Your land will never truly be yours and safe until it is
protected by an Admin/Mod. This is a new idea we have yet to be
able to try, since no one even knows about it. Just follow
those steps, and hopefully very soon someone with the power will
be able to go protect that piece of land even after you are
offline.
