Thanks Gaz, I appriceate [sp?] what ya just said, i believe it
is true, I think just having a account to just get white-listed
for trusted is kinda, over usedish, like, as you said Gaz, just,
there is just no point of making a fourm account, JUST to get
trusted, thats just one. SELFISH, think about ALL the time, us
people who ACTUALLY READ posts, and just them, just posting ONE
post and NOTHING ELSE. Two, they have just NO idea whats going
ON, and we have to spend our time, typing it OVER and OVER
again. You guys' idea is great and all, but, why not make a new
rank overall, liek the trusted can be picked by the staff and
stuff and just have Members as the white-listed to, and they
other players [NOT including VIPS and staff] are guests. Well,
trusted as like your terms, 10-15 posts thing, ACTALLY reads teh
fourms. (OMG RED LINES) That my suggestion really, and my opinon
on it

Agreed, a good combination. I guess I should clarify why I
think there should be the chance of losing the Trusted rank.
Who doesn't love free stuff, so people will probably post. Say
the stuff isn't up to their expectations, or they have a lot of
it, and feel no need to get free stuff. This will keep that
loophole closed. I honestly don't need anything free, I don't
want gifts for posting here. I feel an obligation to do it. If
I for some reason decide I don't want to anymore, just play in
the game and ignore everything, I should lose my Forum Mod Rank,
as I am no longer a fit for the position.

I think having the staff pick trusted would cause to much
headache. As pretty much EVERY trusted would have to be demoted.
Then go through this process, just to be picked by admins that
are already being swamped by players to lazy to read the forum.
:-\
I just think it should be harder to keep AND maintain the
trusted rank.
I.E, someone makes a server broadcast (so no one has an excuse)
telling them to post and be active constantly on the forum, or
they will lose their trusted rank.....

I suppose thats right too. I just feel, that this sever's
commity is just getting to, idk, greedy and selfish, like i made
a house for a member the other day and he DID NOT do anything to
help us, we had to MAKE him help us, i do think this aittude
will put people off the sever, im not saying i will. just i have
this feeling of being pushed around, i suppose the staff alot
to, and others.

I personally agree that the server itself is going downhill. The
community is starting suck, in my opinion. The main reason i
stay is due to the awesome regulars, i.e the staff members, like
david and gazkam, and other folks like Alfonzo and other friends
i have made here. That and i am obligated to continue playing
due to my recent promotion.
Anyways, forced demotions to the inactive trusted folks i think
is the best course. They will either lose the trusted rank they
did so little to get. Or earn, deserver, and continue to have it
by being informed of updates, rules, and announcements on this
server.
I also believe it should be that the staff, atleast for a few
days, should pull back for a bit. The community has become
spoiled, and they call a staff member over for the most
ridiculous things. Every other server i have played on, the
players were able to take care of themselves, and didn't throw a
hissyfit when a stone sword is missing from their chest, or one
block in their wooden & stone house is missing..... :-X
That'll make the players try to develop some sort of
self-sufficency. And we won't hear things like "ID ID ID ID ID
ID ID ID!" or things of similarity spamming the chat every 25
seconds.
Sorry for ranting. I'm just a little annoyed how much the staff
are taken for granted here, as well as verbally abused......

I definitely agree with a lot of what's being said here!
On a note somewhat indirectly related to the forums but still
relatable, one thing that's always gotten me is the fact that
"Trusted" members are rarely actually trusted. Perhaps rename
the rank, and the new "role model" rank be called "Trusted"
because those are truly the people who've become trusted. The
current trusted rank could be named "Approved" or something, I
have no idea, but maybe the idea of being approved rather than
trusted would inspire some people to want to become trusted. So
many people come on asking about staff positions; the word
"trusted" makes me think of a low form of staff, like a role
model. It could be something to strive for, and then that be
implemented by the process you've all been talking about.

That does make sense ellunas. The whole "Trusted" rank does
sound like a staff position, so new players generally assume its
a staff rank, and think its so low its given out freely.
I just hope we can find ways to improve this community. It's
going downhill for me. The nice cool people are slowly leaving,
and being replaced by people who rage at a person who just
joined and asks who the owner is. It really irritates me. >:(

Agreed Ellunas, maybe another rank between member and Trusted
would help diversify those who are here to play, and those who
are here to stay.
As for the guy who came into the server asking about the owner.
I gave him the name, before anyone had a chance to yell at him.
I asked why, out of curiosity, why he needed to know. Not sure
if he answered, it got lost for me in the mess of baseball
bat-like verbal abuse he got simply for asking the question.

I watched all the chat being given out at that time. He was
never able to give an awnser because he was defending himself
for being verbally abused by the other players. Unfortunatly
most people don't take after the attitude me, or you gazk, or
russel had when the event happened. :-[
Bad part is though, they do that whole routine whenever ANYONE
asks who the owner is upon first joining. :-\ Why i have no
idea.

I think when a new player joins, GIVE THEM A BREAK! If they
asked questions, answer and asks why, just be nice to them so
they dont turn out into some raging freak, when actually they're
a cool guy/girl. Like for seriously, i believe EVERYONE NEEDS TO
GIVE EVERYONE A BREAK! For realz, bombarding people with
queostions and stuff, its suffocating! I think, i think we
shouldn't answer questions that can be found answered to in the
forums THAT WAY, people will check it. If you get what im
saying.
