Protection Blocks

Hey all Rapid here,
I am wanting to get a proection block plugin which you could
buy. I know Bearded Craft already has a protection zone but at
times during the day no admins are on or when I am sometimes one
there is none online. So you could buy the proection block and
place it down and edit wpthe perms for who can build. So please
leave a commet saying if you would like this plugin or not

People would abuse this feature. Tey would go aboutprotecting
whole islands for themselves

Rowan has a point. :P
And the main problem would be switching over from WG ->
"Protection Blocks".
All the protections would be removed in the process of re-adding
them with the new plug-in.
:(
I was hoping with the new-recent Staff promotions ('Graveyard
Shift') they'd be active at these times.
Argh.

I was trying to post earlier and my laptop shut down, going to
buy a cooling pad for it tomorrow morning.
I was thinking the same as Rowan, people would just protected a
massive area which may never get used. The Staff only protect
what you are using, and more if you ask, but not excessive
amounts of land. I could see this being abused very easily.
Also not sure if protection block would work an entire area or
just blocks you put down, or something like that. I think
protection is best left to the staff, they also make sure things
aren't overlapping which could cause problems.

is there maybe a way that we could buy a certain block (sponge?)
and make 1x1 towers on the corners of the areas we want
protected? and admins/mods could protect em later? or have a
protection request board somewhere?

I'm not sure you guys have permissions for /getpos, but that
could be helpful for a staff to /tppos there,

Does the mail system work properly? Make a 5-10 high dirt block
tower with a torch on top for 2 diagonal corners. Then send
them your coordinates. F3 shows coords, not sure how /getpos is
different. It doesn't really have to be a specific block as
long as it is obvious to reduce confusion.

maybe the lit towers AND a protection request board. the towers
are mainly a heads up to other players. i'd put a sign with the
date and time i set em up, so any intrusions after that make
evidence to twerps lol. (on that note, I'LL GET THAT PIKACHU ONE
OF THESE DAY!)

Oh right! I forgot about F3! Nice brainstorming, Gaz! :P
Feel free to create (And Lock/Sticky if need-be) a Thread about
it, including:
- Staff Names
- How to get coords
- What to set-up and where-to for the protection
- Whatever else helpful info
I'm locking this as all the bases have been covered; thanks
guys!
Edit: Or not, haha. Rowb still seems to have things to add!

I believe in the protection block plugin you can set a limit on
how many blocks can be purcased so no one can over buy.
