[center]/warp Buildoff[/center]
After a break of over 2 months, the "weekly" building
competition is finally back!
Not much changed, but for those who never heard of it, I'll give
a quick explanation.
If you're used to buildoff and know the rules, you might as well
just skip to the yellow part
The Buildoff is a weekly building competition started by Dorion
and MissPan quite a while back, that aims to give something to
do for players that are always bored :P
The concept is pretty simple, every Monday morning (or Sunday
night), I give a new theme, along with some restrictions, and
players that wish to participate (must be trusted+) can go at
/warp buildoff, choose a free plot and make something according
to the theme. You have the week (Monday to Friday) to build,
then during weekends, everybody can go vote for their favorite
build. The winners will get a prize, and participants will get a
little something too.
Restrictions are either :
- Limited size (default: 41x41)
- Limited block choices (Whitelisted blocks)
- Banned blocks
- A difficult theme
Prizes won't be as "special" as in the last map, but they're
definitly (more) worth it. They'll consist mostly of :
- A bunch of materials to help build in survival
- Money
- Other various supplies that might fit the theme
- Enchanted items (sometimes)
- Plot is shown for 4 weeks in one of the winner plots (the 4
outset plots)
The quantity and quality of the prizes will depend on the
quality of the winner builds, and how many votes they got.
Of course there are still rules :
- Don't touch anything that isn't yours, at all
- Don't build anything inappropriate or that doesn't fit the
theme, they'll get removed
- Don't build on more than 1 plot, or outside the plots
- Don't give information about the owner of plots, they are
meant to be anonymous for fair voting
- Don't copy other players or follow tutorials
- No teamwork (but advices are allowed, as long as it's not
abused)
- Don't incite players to vote for you
- Don't excessively talk about your plots (It can count as
advertizing it, or showing it off for votes)
- Clean your plot after the voting period (You can't build
again if you didn't clean your last plot)
Make it look like nobody ever used it
For Voters :
- Only vote once per week
- Don't vote for your own build
- Don't vote for the owner of a plot, but for the plot itself
(Reason why they're meant to be anonymous)
- Don't vote on more than one account
- Don't vote for somebody because you like that person, it's
not a popularity contest

Now, a few things have changed since the last server :
- Plots will be separated in biomes
- 16 Mushroom Island plots (Grass)
- 4 Mushroom Island plots (Mycelium)
- 4 Snowy plots (Snow)
- 4 Mesa Plots (Red sand)
- 4 Desert Plots (Sand)
- Vote hoppers are now in the middle, so it's important to add
what plot you're voting for
- Easier indications in the middle (Banners!)

Banned blocks : None
Specifications : Playable 11x11 snowfall arena, pumpkin and snow
farm included and space for spectators. If you don't know what

Third Place = MissPan (1 votes)
Well, after all this time, we finally have enough votes to at
least determine winners.
