Poke, that happens to everyone... it is considered stable FPS
when you don't strain the game like that...

This depends on the games your running. So can you list the type
of ps3/xbox/wii games?

Poke just enjoys burning money by frying components of his
computers as a result pushing all performance settings of the
game up.
I have a quad core i5 that barely hits 20% usage while playing
minecraft and having other applications open,
As well as a 4gb dedicated graphics card that only runs about
50% usage on average settings, and 80% if i turn them all up
while running dual monitors, (i have 36 and a 24 inch tv as
monitors, both 1080p)

have a "Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHZ" and it's
BARELY enough to run MC... I only get like 300 fps and I do know
that xbox/ps3 games can be hard to run.

Another thing that im guessing you have overlooked, is the fact
90% of tvs and computer monitors have a 120 or less fps refresh
rate, making the game think its running 300 fps only for the
graphics card to convert it down to what the display is capable
of is pointless.
