Nice debut for Maples. Good for him.
Brett Jackson has 3 hits and a walk today, and no K's, after two
hits yesterday. Nice to see a burst of success for him.

It doesn't matter. We have it on good authority that he is a
bust.

Well, Jax is 7-17 with 2 Ks over his last 4 games, and his OPS
is up to .773. It'd be nice if he goes on an extended hot
streak, because there's certainly no one of consequence blocking
him.

Whoever has written off Candelario is nuts, FWIW.

I've been called worse LOL. I hope I am wrong. I didn't think
Feldman would win a game or hold a team under 7 runs in any
given start so what the heck do I know?

Fourth consecutive multi-hit game for Szczur, 9 for 19 in that
stretch, immediately after a very bad slump.
Hasn't he had at least one absolutely terrible stretch each
season so far?
Does anyone know if it is just streakiness? Does he play with
minor injuries that keep him from hitting? Does he try
something new that he has difficulty adjusting to?
If he and Jackson both do make serious progress this season, it
would be a big step in the Theocracy's rebuilt plans. The
addition of two speedy outfielders with good gloves, high on
base percentages and an genuine stolen base ability would so
wonders not only to help build the core needed to win, but also
to make the team much more enjoyable to watch.

Believe me, we're all just guessing here.

I wouldn't give up on a guy with a .352 OBP just yet. He's got
his warts, but Candelario is still more interesting than Josh
Vitters.
