DeJesus teases us with a bloop down the RF line that lands about
a foot and a half foul. Set up for the K now...

Geez, the Cubs can't buy a break.

I mean really, if the Cubs are playing defense, that DeJesus
grounder gets through 98 out of 100 times...and the runner beats
it out the other two times.

Cubs probably going to lose this one.
Just a putrid offense. Even a half way decent offense has 5 runs
       today.

Dave23, you might be blacked out on the regular MLB Network, but
       there is a alternate channel

Of course, I go back to giving them an out when you have a two
runners on and a 2-0 count on the batter. The Reds were
legitimately in trouble, and the Cubs helped them out of it.

The more I think about it, the more that sequence just exposes
the manager. First you give away an out when you're way up in
the count and already have a runner in scoring position. And
when that "succeeds", you send out a pinch hitter who has the
worst chance of anyone on your bench of giving you the contact
       you need. Just bad managing.

The Cubs are so bad and boring. That might be the first game I
have watched all year straight through. Now I know why.

Only the Cubs could find a way to lose 5 out of 6 on this road
trip so far. Losing all three games against the Brewers on
unearned runs, wasting dominant starting pitching against one of
the best hitting teams in the league, and bad managing
       throughout the road trip.
At least we get 8 games against the two teams in the NL who have
been worse than the Cubs. Maybe they can regroup and get a
little momentum going. More likely, though, their starting
pitching will come back to earth a little just as their offense
gets to face some weak pitchers, and they'll go 3-5.
