ESPN Stats and Info is calling Rizzo's homer the longest in
baseball this year

"It's one of those things, got a good swing, good pitch to hit
and didn't try to do too much with it and got a good result out
of it." -- Rizzo on hitting the longest home run in baseball
this season (475 feet) in the third inning.[/quote]
475 feet? I don't think so.

I thought so...where that ball hit, plus where it would have
landed? Yeah, 475 sounds about right.

Andrus verus Marmol brought to mind a poor man's version of
Randy Johnson verus John Kruk. I was watching Andrus's
reactions to the pitches that at bat after the first 2 were wild
rather than Marmol throwing them or anything else.

I'm so sick of this sloppy play. Error by Rizzo, hit and run,
and 3 run homer by Braun, Cubs are playing 3-0 down in the first
inning. Rizzo fields that routine grounder, and it's 2 outs, no
one on for Braun.

Barney drops a ball that's difficult, but he usually catches,
Weeks has a double. Lucroy doubles, and Schierholtz's throw
completely misses everyone, so he has a triple instead.
This is just brutal.

Aoki must be hitting .920 against the Cubs.

Valbuena homers. He's up to .243/.378/.459. The likelihood of
Stewart getting a lot of playing time is getting smaller and
smaller.
