Hate to hear that about Stan The Man.
It's probably already been mentioned but Earl Weaver died too.

At the grocery store this morning.
Two kids, probably 12 or 13, were talking.
       "Who was Stan Musial?"
They're both wearing Cardinal shirts and caps.
Even though I'm a Cub fan, that saddened me.

They have more reason to feel sorry for us.

Ian Stewart apparently claimed today at convention that he's
100% for the first time since 2010.

If Stewart is actually healthy and can return to the form he had
when he was first with Colorado, it could add another core
player to the team. I don't think it is likely, but it is a
       possibility.

For the first month-plus of last season, Stewart's peripherals
were improved over previous years and it seemed like he was
hitting into a lot of bad luck. It's unlikely, but maybe there
was a real change that will actually have an impact this year
now that his wrist has been repaired.
