My post said NEARLY 30 years so I'm not including McMahon in
there. So since McMahon, who have we had that would you rather
have as QB to replace Cutler? Kramer is the only name that comes
to mind that's been worth a damn and he certainly didn't have
       the tools that Cutler does.

McMahon won the ring in 1985. 28 years ago.
That's nearly 30 years ago! Just think if he could've stayed
       healthy!

Erik Kramer holds the Bears record for highest career passer
rating (80.7), and owns their single-season records for
attempts, completions, touchdowns, and passing yards. Cutler
       doesn't.
You asked a good question because outside of Kramer all of them
have been mediocre to bad. If Jim Harbaugh didn't have
Bumstedt at HC who knows how he may have fared? I'm just not
going to anoint him great or whatever until he shows it on the
field. When was the last time Cutler had a 300 yard passing
       game?
Kramer didn't have the tools that Cutler had? You mean tools
       around him to work with?

Kramer was a good QB. He had one playoff loss to Cuts one win,
       one loss. Not much difference....

I don't think Kramer had Cutlers arm strength and I don't recall
       him being particularly mobile.

       Oh you mean physical attributes.
I agree Cutler may have that in regards to Kramer but I thought
any Bear fan would look at wins instead of "being a QB" as a
certain poster who for some reason seem to throw race in this
       conversation.
Cutler needs to step it up this next season and I don't see how
       anyone would disagree with that.

Rex had a very strong arm too but he was way way too erratic.

I don't thi nk Kramer could have even survived with this O-line.
He would be oin a wheelchair. Jim Miller had some moderate
success but I would not trade him or Kramer for Cutler. Counting
wins only is a bit deceiving since this is a team game. Archie
Manning rarely won and Trent Dilfer has a SuperBowl ring.

Man the Colts offense looks terrible against the Ravens.
If that's what a Bruce Arians offense looks like against a
       decent D, then no thanks.

Bruce Arians isn't calling the plays today.
