Packy thats like saying if JCut had not been cheap shotted by
Houston ...
JCut would have started at Frisco.
It is what it is. We all move on.

Even with Cutty the Niners still would have beat us. Our D had
no idea what to do with Kaepernick.

My problem with all these interviews is there's too many of em.
I'm getting the feeling they don't have a clue who to pick. When
you've done your homework, you should have a list of candidates
and go through them and make a choice. When you have no clue,
you just start interviewing everyone and his brother and I'm
getting this feeling here. I hope they come away with a winner
but taking this guy from his last draft class I'd say that's no
sure thing by a mile.

Supposedly only a couple candidates are going to be called back
for 2nd interviews and those will be at Halas Hall. I'm hearing
those will happen this week. Trestman is tomorrow IIRC. We
havent even had a 1st round yet with Arians, Dennison or
Clements so I'm not sure how that's all gonna get done in the
next few days.

I get the feeling they know very well who their number 1
candidate is and they are just making sure they have checked all
contingencies. Heck, they may be interviewing Trestman to see
his interest in coming back to the NFL period. I think Yapper
stated that. Maybe we get our guy and hire trestman to
coordinate the offense?
Given the lack of buzz about McCoy for other NFL jobs tells me
he is our candidate.

There was an article on PFT last night that said the Eagles reps
had been in Denver yesterday to meet with McCoy and had already
flown back to Philly. I believe their interview with him was
after ours. So that could lead one to think McCoy has already
agreed to something in principle with the Bears and basically
told the Eagles not to waste their time. (FWIW some league
watchers think Philly is where Arians will ultimately wind up.)
Meanwhile not a word about how the Bears interview with McCoy
went. In fact if a person hadn't been following things closely
they wouldn't know we had even talked to him at all.

I sure hope they dont go screw around and lose McCoy. He is
obviously my #1 candidate. I thnk he is the perfect fit for the
Bears. He is very adaptable which the Bears desperately need.

Whoever our new HC is, I really hope he has a line (pun) on a
rock solid OL coach.
In my mind that's going to be almost as critical of a hire as
the HC. If we're lucky we'll have at least 3 new guys starting
on the OL next year but realistically it may be only 2. Since
we don't have resources to completly rebuild the OL in one
offseason so we're gonna need someone who can at least coach-up
some of the guys we've already got and maybe salvage a couple of
starting positions at least.

Amen to that. Denver has always seemed to have good OLine
coaches and lines.

1st interview question by Emery to all HC candidates:
"Why does our O-Line suck so bad and how can you fix it?"
