I find it interesting how so many ex-QBs on the networks take
every opportunity to rip on Cutler.
I don't know if they're just jealous of his arm or they don't
like his demeanor or what, but it's one of the craziest things
I've ever seen.
Not saying that some of the stuff they say about him isn't
true... but Boomer, Dilfer, etc. just can't stop hating on
this guy for whatever reason.
That being said... yes, Cutler's fundamentals were terrible this
year and he has regressed big-time in that regard from last
season when he looked like he was starting to pull things
together. That's something the new HC needs to grill Bates on
cause the way I understand it that's the main thing Bates was
brought in here to keep an eye on.

Didn't affect Rodgers and he's behind a terrible OL too.

Funny how nobody ever talks about Matt Stafford's fundamentals
even though he throws sidearm more than any QB I've ever seen.
But I guess when you're tossing for 5,000 yards in a season
everyone assumes your technique is rock solid.

I don't care what his fucking fundamentals are. He could jump
in the air and throw the fuking ball underhand between his legs
to Marshall if the end results are TD's and wins.
It doesn't have to be pretty or perfect. It just has to work.

OMG he doesn't have the perfect throwing motion. OMG he doesn't
have the perfect footwork... This and that... Screw that.
Watch Peyton Manning and see how many wobblers he throws that
are not perfect spirals. It works that is all that matters.

If I'm Emery, the first thing I do after the new HC has moved
into Halas Hall is I sit down with him and we watch that entire
San Francisco MNF debacle from beginning to end. Then when it's
done I ask him point-blank what he's gonna do to make sure
nothing like that EVER happens again.
