Dave, I can honestly say I love your mother.
She seems a lot tougher than Mike Quade. Think she would manage
the Cubs for a couple of years?

She wouldn't be much worse than some that we have had. And some
players would be well served to borrow her walker. It could
speed them up.

Curt, how could you hate someone like that? She's like 101 and
in better shape then the entire Cubs starting outfield.

This probably isn't of interest to most on the board, but I will
mention it any, in case someone may have an elder relative with
edema problems.
For years, my mother has had problems with extremely swollen
legs and ankles, to the point where she can hardly walk on them.
They have tried just about everything with no success.
Recently, they tried a new therapy. Three times a week they
wrap her legs loosely in bandages for 24 hours. The rest of the
time she wears firm, but not tight support sox. In a matter of
three weeks, her legs are about half the size they used to be.
It is a new procedure, covered by medicare, but you will
probably have to ask the doctor about it, since it is so new.
