Yeah, but that prediction was a while ago, and I've admitted it
might be very optimistic given the pitching injuries...

By that standard, Hendry produced "respectable" teams every year
but 2006.

Another prediction: the Cubs don't finish in last place in the
division. That "honor" will go to the Brewers.

They took a gam-ble. They lost. That sometimes happens when
you gam-ble. That does not mean it was a mistake or that they
screwed up.

If they end up retaining Soriano and he has a solid season, the
Cubs may well improve to NL average in runs scored.

Actually the more I think about it, I'm thinking we're not
getting to 70 wins this year after all. I'll go with 69
instead.
