Seems more than all Blomker. So guessing maybe the two
power-bats will get some overslot between them?

Blomker wasn't even ranked by any big scouting agencies as far
as I know - certainly not BA or ESPN. Not sure why you'd need to
go way overslot on him.

Morton appears to have had Tommy John surgery 7/9/26 based on
his Instagram.

He's an LSU baseball recruit. LSU was paying Gavin Guidry, a
16th round pick, $500,000 to pitch for them. He was the 4th
highest LSU recruit picked. LSU could bear the $441,000 slot
value pretty easily.
Caden Sorrell was the highest paid NCAA player last year at
$850,000.

was headed for 2nd/3rd round before May arm surgery. Would seem
odd that might be a tougher sign in that situation? One would
think might be eager to have rehab supervised by a MLB club.
Guessing that’s probably the case but maybe still wants more
than slot.

Reb - do you have the link for the draft tracker guy?

Marioneaux, $600k. Effectively slot. ($9K under). He'd been
the guy I most expected to sub-slot. Interesting.

Bailey $1.9. That's $780K over, the biggest overslot we'll
give. That leaves ~$600K over for Blomker and Sorrell (plus
whatever additional discretionary they prepare by under-slotting
some other rounds 6-10 guys.) Bailey's is mid-2nd-round money,
comparable to pick 52 slot. I wonder if Sorrell would have
agreed to less? Or whether he might also be at $1.9 or maybe at
a round $2.0?

Cubs have wrapped up signing all their guys through round 10.
-Sorrell ~163K over, his deal is less than Bailey.
Blomker $888, ~437 over.
Morton slot.
Rounds 7-8-9 all within the 204-220 range, 9th rounder Chad
Meyers actually the highest of those, a little over.
17th rounder, huge guy from UNLV who had >6 ERA, gets $50K
overslot, $200K.
Per Savermetrics, ~$160K for other >11th-round overslots. HS
catcher from puerto Rico will surely get some of that.
I love the modern system, where things are all no-nonsense
wrapped up quick.
