Wiggins averaged 98.1 on the four-seamer (max 99.6) with 6.6
       feet of extension.

As a batter, I would hate to face Wiggins…right on top of you,
       and all downhill…

Noland a lot of 91, some 92 and 90. But everything is around
the plate, I think he throws some 91's with differing movement,
and he's got some interesting breaking stuff. Can see why he'd
be a good AAA pitcher. Has enough control, I'd guess he might
be OK for an emergency start or too.

I really think when it’s all said and done the change is going
to be seen as Wiggins’ best pitch, even better than the slider.
With the action he can get on it he makes hitters look foolish a
       lot of the time.

deeg, I'm optimistic for sure, but we'll see whether he can
throw change or slider for strikes often enough. I'm not sure
my recall is correct, but in his two innings today, did Wiggins
get more than one non-fastball that was actually in the strike
zone? Got a chase or two, which helps for sure. But the
non-fastballs, weren't many even in the neighborhood. It's
spring, he's got a long season. And the guy hasn't pitched that
much, and I'm sure they're being super careful with him. So if
last outing instrux was just fastballs, and now this was first
day throwing offspeed, maybe this is no preview of what he'll be
once he settles in for a full summer of development. But yeah,
as with all big-stuff guys, some degree of strike-throwing will
be required. If he can lock into throwing those offspeed
pitches for strikes with reasonable frequency, look out!

Of course Cubs going to try and develop Wiggins as a SP, as they
should, but he looks a lot like a reliever to me.
Could be very intimidating as a back end reliever/closer but not
too sure about the controllable pitch mix as a starter. Power
stuff, not much deception and command to face hitters multiple
       times, I would worry.
Really like him as closer of the future but let’s see first if
can work out as a SP.

       Cubs win, 8-1. Rea 3.2-4-1-0-6
Gameday had Luke Little up with some 97.8-ish velocity on his
fastball. Doesn't help if he can't locate, but that seems
significantly higher than he was last year, after his arm
       issues.
