Boyd perfect through 3 innings, 3K, only 34 pitches.
Wiggins gets bombed, 6 hits and 5 runs in 1.1 innings. Ouch.
Connor Noland replaced Wiggins. Noland is kinda known as a
no-velocity finesse guy. He may be over-amped with adrenaline,
getting to pitch in a spring training game, perhaps. But per
       gamecast he's had 92.7 and 93.1 mph, so velocity-wise he doesn't
seem any slower than Shota and Taillon.

Wiggins averaged 97.4 on the 4-seamer, topped at 98.6. Obviously
got hit hard but threw almost all fastballs, presumably by
       design.

Thanks for bolstering the case that there’s a lot more to
       pitching than velocity.

Hodge gives up 5 runs in .2 innings.
otherwise today's pitching appears to have been excellent.
Cabrera 3K in 2 perfect innings, in his first game. Palencia
and Snider 2K's each in perfect innings.
Roberts a 1-2-3 inning with 3 groundouts on 9 pitches. Roberts
with a fastball back might be fun.

Also notable that Statcast had Wiggins throwing no sliders
(nominally his best pitch). But did show 5 cutters (averaging
low 90s), not a pitch he's known to use, which suggests a
       misidentification.

       Cubs won today, 6-2.
Rea, Brown, Assad combined for 7-3-0-0-0-9, one single allowed
       for each of them.
Brown 2 innings, Rea and Assad 3 each. Assad 4K/0BB in 3
       innings, nice.
I think it was televized, Dodgers announcers. I might go back
and watch parts, if time allows?

Craig, take a look at Kane Kepley's AB in the 9th. If he can do
that frequently, he's a regular, even off of CF.

Kepley was quite impressive. He could have been a star 50 years
ago. I doubt that he will get a chance in today's game, but I
hope to see more of him.
