I think if a team with extra picks waves a #3 under the Bears
nose, I'd say Bagent is gone. I hate to see him go, if Caleb
gets dinged, I hope we have someone that can run the offense.

I really hope Proctor is gone when the Bears pick so they don’t
have to make that decision . He has so much ability and
struggles too often. Hearing he had a bad game against Michigan
and has a hard time with speed rushers. When a guys known
mostly for his size most of them have a hard time in the NFL.

Almost time for the annual two packs of Marlboro 100's, it's
getting that close.
I dunno I want DE with the first pick the only thing all of us
have been bitching about for years but safety is mentioned ,left
tackle, defensive tackle, it's a mystery until the 25th pick is
made.
Assuming the 25th pick is not in play either up or down in the
draft order. ;)
Yes I will be mixing Glenfiddich intertwined with Leffe
throughout the days of the draft.
Can anybody e-mail me any leftover airplane glue for my brown
paper bag ?
I need that extra kick just before BEARRSE draft picks are
picked.
Thanks.
So anyways what are you munching on for draft days ?
I'm ordering out since I will be in no condition to drive.

DT - Biggest need on the Bears - Bears need a #1 guy - they have
#2 thru #7 with Dexter, Jarrett, Shemar Turner, Gallimore,
Street and Lynch
DE - Not a front line need with Booker and Sweat but Bears need
impact rotational depth and a future Sweat replacement - will
Odeybingo be ready?
SS - Not spending a #1 on a strong safety - maybe one of the #2s
- it's not an impact position unless the guy is a stud
C - We'll see if Bears project Luke Newman as the center of the
future - otherwise a #3 or #4 is a possibility
OT - Let Braxton Jones, Wills and Benedet battle it out - if
Trapillo is done then LT is a priority in '27
HB - not trading Swift for a day 3 pick - but a HB pick on day 3
is certainly an option considering the luck they had in R7 in
'25 - Roschon Johnson is solid depth when healthy but he's a FA
after this year
CB - Stevenson and Terell Smith are FAs after '26 - Zah Frazier
is a total unknown - might be able to hold off on drafting a CB
until '27 but this could be a surprise early pick
WR - Not a huge need in '26 with the addition of Raymond and the
promotion of Walker but still a need. Adding another WR in the
draft would not be a surprise (maybe a speed guy that can return
kicks/punts)
LB - If Edwards can return Bears appear solid with Bush and
DeMarco Jackson, add in depth with Sewell, Hypolite and Sanborn
TE - maybe a 7th or UDFA
G - McFadden impressed in PS and in the playoff game and maybe
Amegadjie can provide depth if he can't compete at LT
QB - Bagent for now is the backup
There's still many holes in the Bears' lineup after free agency
and not enough draft picks. But the Bears biggest need is pass
rush. Secondary upgrade is... second.
Look at what the teams just in our division will line up at the
QB and WR position. Scary.

Bears were next to last in quarterback pressures last year so
they’re not ok with Booker and Sweat. The rushers available at
25 may be a reach so possible trade back to the higher second
round, maybe if Ty Simpson is still on the board. None of the
DT’s offer both run and pass disruption ability.

Hoge and Jahns just said that according to Fran Duffy, Peter
Woods comp is Tommie Harris. I wouldnt mind that, in his prime
of course.

I think he’s a guy who had a better 2024 than 2025. But then
I’ve heard a lot of guys on that team had a bad year due to
coaching. Kind of an interesting player based on 2024.

He is the guy who passed on his senior year. Looked at tape of
Defensive linemen at the combine but didnt see him. Probably
wasnt invited to the combine. His team didnt have a good year.
The DT that seemed to be what the Bears were looking for seemed
to be the guy from Texas Tech.

I'm OK with Booker and Sweat as starters next year. But they
could certainly use a couple more guys in the DE rotation to
limit their snaps. A DE pick at 25 would not necessarily
replace either in the starting lineup but still would provide a
huge benefit in a platoon situation and a future replacement for
Sweat.
The source of the Bears pass rushing woes is little or no
pressure inside. You get that pressure and now those DEs get a
lot more pressures, hits and sacks.
But I agree a DT at 25 could be considered a reach. Ideally the
Bears could trade down at 25 and upgrade from 57, but that's not
easy as we've all discussed in the past.
