PFF doesn’t like him, but he had 0 penalties and allowed 0
sacks.
We take a center day 2, and let him and Bradbury battle it out,
and Bradbury can mentor as well.

I think the centers are projected day three.

I don't think Bradbury precludes us from going after Linderbaum.
He has one year on his contract and we can use the depth as
well. This signing may indicate that we won't be drafting for
the oline if we can sign Linderbaum. And go get Decker.

Bradbury may not be a bad move, he gives us a little insurance.

I think Bradburry’s the starter. Very good pass protection and
smart. With Trapillo possibly missing all next season they need
the money for someone like Taylor Decker.

Getting mixed reactions to the signing from Pats fans. Most seem
to feel he was not great and was a placeholder until their draft
pick for that position (who played guard) was ready. Says he was
not good in the run game, very average in the pass game. But he
didn't have any penalties (I think) declared on him so that is
one thing.....

Saw him being graded at 30 out of 32. However for a fifth round
pick and his experience ... who's complaining?
Nobody saw this coming anyway. That is one down three to go ...
DE LT LB.
If we got Decker to a one year deal until Ozzy (Black Sabbath)
Trapdoor comes back that seems like a move to make.

I understand Bradberry's stats: no sacks and no penalties in
2025. And he is experienced, durable and played on a Super Bowl
team.
But the PFF grades which are not gospel is kind of a red flag on
Bradberry.
I've seen a number of times in each game Dalman isolated on a DT
pass blocking. Can Bradberry do that as often as Dalman? Can
Bradberry be only counted on to help out on double teams in run
blocks too?
If you're never asked to block 1:1 then you probably aren't
going to give up any sacks since you always have help.
Bradberry should be adequate considering the situation the Bears
were put in. And his signing doesn't preclude the Bears from
drafting a center (maybe with that extra 3rd round comp pick if
they get it).
Things could be worse we could be looking at starting a Dan
Feeney or Sam Mustipher.

The good thing about having a real head coach is that, if
Bradbury has certain weaknesses, Johnson is smart enough to
adjust the blocking schemes to account for them.

If we get a legit LT like Decker, then Thuney will be able to
help the C position.
