Bears are going to snooze and lose out on a top center. It's not
wise to put a rook at Center to direct the line, but don't be
surprised if it happens....

Williams will be scrambling for his life again with a rookie
center- but at least he's proven he CAN do it (its not a
consistent way to win, however). But if they actually get a
decent center (or draft one) that would be a HUGE coup with
ramifications for the his future and the franchise in general.
But this is the Bears so I would put the odds at less than 10%
of getting this right based on their previous track record since
Olin Kreutz.....

Vikings center retires ? Stretches the center market thinner
(and making the available ones more expensive). Man the Dalman
curse seems to be snowballing....

the #Bears, giving them new center. The deal can't officially be
processed until the league year begins.

The Patriots drafted center Jared Wilson from Georgia last year
so probably they’re figuring he’s ready to start after a year at
guard.

Wow that dead moneys coming on fast ... now over
$19,000,000.00.
However now sitting on over $26,000,000.00 in cap space and
none of it wasted so far on retreads.

It would be nice to have a center on the same developmental
track as the QB (e.g. they can be together for years). Appears
with having to use all these stopgaps it will be a new one every
year or two (less is injured) unless this guy plays well over
what the league average age for a decent center......
