Yeah. Mid round pick. Couldn't expect much more than that.
Amarri Cooper is a Comp for DJ. When Dallas traded Amarri they
only got a 5th. DJ has one more year in the league than Amarri
had when he was moved.
SF only got mid round pick for Debo.

@Jason_OTC
Trading DJ Moore frees up $16.5M in cap room for the Bears.
Bills will take on $24.5M in salary for 2026 and assume a $15.5M
guarantee for 2027. This seems risky for the Bills

It's a salary dump like Quinn. Hope for a 4th, meh on a 5th.

So much for Maxx Crosby

I’m starting to convince myself that Linderbaum would be a
better use of cap space than Crosby.
This team clicked hard with the improved OL, and that starts in
the middle. Love Crosby, but that’s money AND draft capital…

I would rather sign Hendrickson with no picks given up.

FWIW, last year the comp picks were announced on <a
href="
HTML https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-players/nfl-announces-35-compensatory-draft-choices-to-15-clubs/">3/12</a><br
/>including the Rooney comps. So we'll know shortly after the
first wave of FA whether the Bears get their 3rds they deserve
by the rules or if they officially got royally fuckd.

I hope they get them and I hope they use one on Kreutz.

@AlbertBreer
Meanwhile, the Bears have cleared a bunch of cap room this week,
with Drew Dalman retiring and DJ Moore traded. We'd mentioned
earlier that they've shown some interest in Tyler Linderbaum and
Maxx Crosby. Stay tuned.

I'll say this, how nice is it to finally have a team that
utilizes the TE. Loveland is a pure fukking beast, and throw
Kmet in there, that's a helluva tandem. I hope Burden and Odunze
can make us forget DJ.
Yeah, with his cap hit, we're probably lucky to get anything in
return.
Hey, at the end of the year, they all said "the team will look
totally different next season"..

Chicago will receive a 2026 second-round pick (No. 60 overall)
in the deal while sending a 2026 fifth-rounder (No. 164 overall)
per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The Bears will also see $16.5MM
in cap savings, according to Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap,
though that will not kick in until the trade is processed at the
start of the new league year. As a result, they will need to
make other moves to become cap-compliant by next Wednesday.
