OWNERS please doublecheck your rosters for illegals before we
call ICE! If one of your guys was a free agent, please release
him. You will lose him sooner or later and others will
appreciate your diligence. You may wish to begin cutting down
some of your non-trade likely players to get prepared. If you
haven't checked, the available players in the pool has swelled
as most of the players from our contracted teams have been
added. The first forty available have at least 35 first
rounders, which is why, perhaps, few are interested in trades.
YOUR 13 and YOUR MINOR LEAGUE KEEPERS WILL BE DUE ON MARCH 3 AT
3PM CST USA. no reason to wait until the last minute. I'm
already down to 14.

You also don't have to release players, Fantrax will
automatically release players after the deadline.

Just an observation about the free agent pool...the two best
projected catchers in the draft are Gabriel Moreno and old man
JT Realmuto. The earliest ADP for any available catcher is
Realmuto at 274.9. Moreno and O'Hoppe are the only other
catchers with an ADP earlier than 417.
Catcher is still very weak in the draft, and Will Smith is still
available--either for a hitter at another position or an early
pick. Since Smith came into the league in 2019, he's virtually
tied with Realmuto and Perez for the most points scored by any
catcher in the BBFL, and he's leading all catchers in points per
game*.
* This assumes I didn't screw something up in Excel; fielding
error points from 2019-2024 not included.

Of course keepers aren't in yet. The list of catchers could
grow. Moises is there too.
This could be the most fun draft in a long time.

? Any way to make minor leaguers searchable? Or am I doing
something really wrong?

I don't think you can on Fantrax. I usually bookmark when ESPN
or the Athletic post their top 100 prospects.

There's a setting on Fantrax that hides minor leaguers so they
can't be picked up in-season. We have that turned on, probably
needs to be turned off ahead of the minor league draft. Then
minor leaguers will be searchable.
There is a filter on the Players page of "Minors (MLB) - Taken"
that will show you the minor league players that are currently
on a BBFL roster. If they're not on that list, I think they'll
be available in the MiLB draft (unless they're over the 50 MLB
AB/30 MLB IP limit). If you search for a minor leaguer and they
don't show up, they're also available in the minor league draft.
