@BenGoessling
No Harrison Smith or Christian Darrisaw practicing for the
#Vikings on Thursday; we saw Darrisaw yesterday, so it’s likely
planned as part of his ramp-up. First injury report of the year
will be out later today.

After watching what O’Connell did for Sam Darnold last season, I
don’t expect the Vikes to miss a beat with McCarthy under
center.

Maybe.
Darnold wasn't a rookie like McCarthy. And this is his very
first game...and on the road. He hasn't faced an NFL defense
that isn't vanilla. In the few games I saw McCarthy play in
college I thought I recall one game the coach leaning more on
the running game rather than putting the ball in McCarthy's
hands.
If Dayo can't make life miserable for the Vikings against a
backup LT if Darrisaw can't go, then Bears made a huge FA
signing mistake.
And when is that S*O*B* Aaron Jones going to start slowing down
- he always seems to kill the BeaRs.

If Bears do not bring pressure every series I will be disgusted.
Rookie QB on road for first game. We need to set a tone and
send the house! If the rookie beats us, so be it, but I would
make HIM beat us, not the rest of the team.

I really don't know Dennis Allen's style. But I'm hoping if the
front 4 can't get it done then send some blitzes from Sewell and
Gordon.

For the Queens, Darrisaw practiced full and questionable.
HSmith doubtful.

@BradBiggs
#Bears added nickel CB Kyler Gordon (hamstring) to the injury
report. He is questionable for Monday night's opener vs. the
#Vikings.

I was feeling pretty good about it but 3 Db's down is not good.
Even two out and one playing hurt is not good.
We need to bring it against the rookie QB and keep him rattled.
That is hard to do without your starting CB's.
Opening week is always a crap shoot. I took the night off from
work to watch in real time so hoping for a great game from the
good guys!

Hoping those guys are fine and that Johnson is just baiting them
into having a throw first game plan instead of a run first game
plan.
Young QB's first game starting in the NFL and all.

If you don't have a fierce pass rush you got to depend on your
DBs sticking to the offense's receivers. I don't see how the
Bears D will be able to do anything with JJ and Kyler out or at
less than 1000%.
On the Vikings report, their top safety Harrison Smith is out.
Darrisaw may start but he may not be near 100% coming of his big
injury in 2024.
