Soft team. Where are the difference makers ? Where are the draft
picks doing... well anything ? Retaining Poles was as bad as
retaining Flus and retaining Nagy before him. And now retaining
Poles. This team is cursed until Muffin Man McCaskey steps down-
he's a Jonah and an albatross around the neck of this franchise.
Poles is not the real reason for this utter failure- he's just
the symptom....

Vikings get beat up at home because their QB sucks. We made him
look like an all pro in the 4th quarter in Soldier Field.

Williams isn't the issue as much as the defense is.
The offense will get better as the season goes on. The defense
needs all of their starters back to evaluate honestly but at
this point it doesn't look good.

There are accuracy issues with Caleb, but it would be
interesting to see how he'd play given the kind of time and
space to throw that Goff had today.
Not convinced the offense will get better. The line still sucks,
the running game--in part due to the line--is irrelevant, and
the team apparently forgot they used their top two picks on pass
catchers.

BTW, offensive wiz Johnson calls consecutive QB sneaks from a
long yard out? It's like there is a rule that the Bears are
forever cursed to play stone age offense.

Finally got to watch the whole game (why is better question):
The game wasn't as bad as the ending score indicated- it was
WORSE.
This team has no different makers- NONE. They played with no
fire. Muffin George McCaskey and Ryan "Muffin Fluffer" Poles own
this team and performance. Where are these wonderful draft picks
they made this season ? Loveland is on a milk carton, Burton
(seems to do well when he gets the ball) barely gets any
touches, that Monagai dude isn't an NFL running back.
And the defense. Well, what defense ? No pass rush. Tyrique
Stephenson should be in the burn ward with 3rd degree burns.
Defense can't rush the passer, cover the WRs, or stop the run.
Other than that they are great....
The initial kickoff was a metaphor for the whole season so far-
out of bounds. Funny thing is, if he done that LAST week instead
of weakly trying to put out of the endzone which his weak ass
leg can't do, there was a good chance the Bears would have had
more than 3 secs on the clock at the end.
And in what has become a McCaskey tradition, being a day late
and a dollar short- Retain players when they shouldn't. Retain
coaches when they shouldn't. Retain GMs when they shouldn't.
No stadium deal is going to be made from this slop.
Noticed something unsettling about Rome Odunze- he has all the
hallmarks of a No 1 WR. Yet he will fail to catch balls
sometimes that he actually probably should catch. Again, its
like the Bears are living in some football bizarro world instead
of this one....
On a good note (one of the few) is that it looks like Johnson
can scheme WR open. Our "franchise" QB hitting them with the
ball (and them not dropping it) is a recurring problem.
Unfortunately he can't get it in his head that the only team ID
he is creating by failing those dumb 4th down conversions is
creating an identity of a team that can't convert 4th and short.
I still don't think they know who to depend on yet, or what
their bread and butter is (soft as butter right now though).....
As of now, this is not a football TEAM. It is a gang of guys
playing football. And that's a losing proposition.....

Yesterday Dan Campbell bent Ben Johnson over and rammed that
game right up his rear end. I kind of like Campbell and the
Lions, and part of me was happy for them.

I was still pissed about the MNF choke so I actually did not
watch the game on purpose and I'm glad.
F*ck Dan Campbell and f*ck the Lions. My only glimmer of hope
is that if the shoe was on the other foot, Johnson would relish
the opportunity to do the same.
