Almost all the WRs looked good - well except for that #15 - he's
headed for the practice squad. Quite the battle for spots #5
and #6, maybe just #6 if Duvernay is the PR and KR guy.
Personally I like the Texas A&M Aggie, Walker.
Bagent was lights out in 2Q but in 3Q he seemed a little off. I
know, I'm being picky.
What do the Bears do at HB? New guy Brittain Brown hits the
hole hard but he's been around a while (he's 27). No NFL stats.
I think Wheeler makes the team. Not sure why Monangai was held
out, but he's got a roster spot. Roschon Johnson better get
that foot healed if he wants one of the 4 HB jobs.

It would be pretty sweet if Ben is good enough to beget a
coaching tree. And Allen would be the next Spags not getting
another HC nibble after 2 unsuccessful stints. Offense and
defense continuity is key for long term success not seen in
Chicago for a long long time.

One of the things that really bothered me from the game was the
handling of the last drive before the half. Dirting the ball on
third down then going for it on 4th (which led to the sack and
the FG the Bills missed). That whole series from the beginning
felt off- its kind of like they forgot it was 3rd down, the
clock was running and if you didn't convert and ran the ball you
probably at least go into the half without giving the other team
a chance to score.
I hope it was just pre-season wonki-ness (the officiating was
kind of weird and the timings were off as well) but its
important to see if Ben Johnson to has a good grasp of end of
half situations (he admitted as much earlier when he said if
felt different to be the guy who has to handle that stuff).
That said, I have so much more confidence in this coaching staff
than the last one to correct this.

Flus is where he belongs, a defensive coordinator. He should
never be given a chance at a head coaching position again..

Initially, I had seen that the Bears game would be televised
delayed at 11pm tonight. But now it looks like ne of the
alternate NFLN channels will broadcast the game live at 7pm.
