It amazes me there are articles complaining about the Wright
holding call that contain the video showing....Jackson holding
       on the play.
My guess is the ref simply reported the wrong number. He even
appears to be looking at Jackson as he throws the flag.

Of course he was, in his very first game:
Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy is ineligible for the
offensive rookie of the year award this year, but he can take
home other prizes and he picked one up for his performance in
       his regular season debut.
The NFL announced on Wednesday that McCarthy has been named the
NFC offensive player of the week for the opening week of the
       2025 season.

This is a bigger problem than penalties, missed calls, the
       O-line, or the running game.

Good points by all. But the above is true. If Caleb didn't
turn into Chuck Knoblauch in the 4th quarter, the Bears win
instead of gift wrapping the game to the Vikings. Per PFF,
Caleb had the second longest average time to throw in week 1 at
3.39 seconds. J.J. had 2.82 seconds. J.J. took advantage of
the momentum shift and outplayed Caleb.
Campbell called the next game a "must win." Fuckthat. This is
a must win for the Bears if they want any chance to go to the
playoffs. Johnson outranks Poles in the hierarchy now. If
Caleb plays in the 1st half exactly like he did in the 4th
quarter of the previous game, Johnson won't hesistate to pull
him. That's how bad he was.
It will stress out the defense for sure. But it's almost like
the best thing for Caleb is to do a no huddle/2 minute drill for
a couple drives in the middle of the game to get him in rhythm.
That's where is he is at his best and where he is able to
       stretch the field.

       Lions 44, Bears 6
Caleb is sacked eight times and throws four interceptions. Ben
Johnson puts a loaded revolver in his mouth during the
       broadcast.
