I'm surprised that so many teams are gambling on high school
shortstops who have little experience with wooden bats.

12 picks in, 5 to go. I haven't followed draft this spring.
Are you guys hoping for a college pitcher, college bat, or HS
bat?
I have no idea, of course. But kinda hoping there is a
worthwhile BAP college pitcher there. Given our recent history
of projecting teenage bats, both draft and international, I'm
not sure I really want to go with a HS bat.
