8th rounder Jake Knapp has an awesome golf swing.

Two Rebels I wish the Cubs would consider…
Hunter Elliott - LHP
Judd Utermark - CI

How about Conner Spencer?

Exactly what popped to mind. Swing so pure Rory Mcilroy raved
about him.

Sold! He was Ole Miss’s closer this season, and did a great job.
He’s an older guy (24?)

Yeah just a really cool story too along with a swing to kill
for. 😃

Ben Badler of BA on Conrad:
Getting Conrad in the back half of the first round is one of my
favorite value picks of the first round. The Cubs have hit on
their recent first-round college hitters, and I think Conrad is
going to be next in line.

He talking about Shaw who can't hit ML pitching and Smith who's
going to be an MVP with another team?

They still get the credit for drafting Smith, but nobody should
be chalking up Shaw as some kind of genius pick. Absolutely
could still be a player, but results are results and the jury is
very much still out with him.

Smith was forecast to go mid-first round to someone. Can't
convince me the Cubs thought he was as special as he appears to
be or they would not have traded him for Tucker. Not sure they
really knew what they had.

No one ever knows what they have at the time of the draft, or
any time before they reach the majors and succeed. All you can
go by is as-yet unfulfilled potential.
