I think this season will show us that building a bullpen by
dumpster diving for guys with semi-recognizable names isn't any
more effective than dumpster diving for guys you've never heard
of.

Counsell said. Merryweather warmed up twice during both
Thursday’s and last night’s game and didn’t recover well so he
wasn’t able to go.

Cubs jump out to a 5-1 lead early with lots of homers (plus Happ
scoring on a sacrifice fly).
The media can't admit the existence of Sacramento, can they?
The scores on Yahoo just call our opponent "Athletics" and
abbreviate them as "ATH".

Sacramento (I'm calling them that) comes back with two in the
bottom half but the Cubs are threatening already in the fifth.
Hoerner singles and now a double from Pete off reliever Mitch
Spence.
Matt Shaw walks to load the bases and now Carson Kelly hits a
two-run double! 7-3!
