Cubs rally from 8-2 deficit for their 3rd straight tie game!
       8-8.
The biochemist with a 1-2-3 inning.

Samuel Basallo hit a HR an estimated 500+ feet (over the CF
       scoreboard comfortably) in that one.

Nice game for the Cubs. Really great approach from a lot of the
minor leaguers. Thielbar looked great. Keller’s outing was
better than the box score suggests. If I’m Counsell, assuming
his stuff holds as they stretch him out, he’s pretty close to
leapfrogging Assad in the rotation depth chart. Stuff looks
*really* good. Like maybe 3rd starter good.

I for sure don't see 3rd starter stuff there. But leapfrogging
Assad won't be hard, since optimistically he wouldn't be
stretched out as a starter till May.
The Cubs have a huge clump of these back-end rotation types, and
that's if you charitably don't lump Boyd in with them. Where
Brown fits into it is a huge question, because he has TORP
potential but they're going to want to limit his innings. I see
him grouped in with these 5th starter guys and it's definitely a
"which of these is not like the others" situation.

I don't see it with Brown.

And I don't think Assad gets enough credit.

Cubs are leading 2nd game 10-1 as I write this. So should
       remain undefeated!
