Imanaga right back on the attack in the third. He whiffs Pages,
and Ohtani hits a vicious liner but right at Berti who grabs it
for the second out. They don't show exit velocity here but it
looked fast. That'll be shown on Japanese TV quite a few times.
And Edman grounds to Shaw at third to end the inning. Nice and
easy for Shota.

on groundouts.

I think he decided he wanted an American nickname when ordering
at Starbucks, and Mike is what he picked. It's not like Shota
is hard to pronounce, but I like it!

Yamamoto throws five split-fingers in a row to Busch, who works
a 3-2 count but then grounds out to second to end the inning.
Still 1-0 after three.

Imanaga walks two in a row to start the inning, though ball four
to Muncy looked like a strike.
Kike hits a long fly to deep center field and PCA is there, but
Smith moves to third.
First and third with one out. Let's get some strikeouts.

A fly to short center -- didn't see if it was Swanson going out
or one of the outfielders coming in -- ends the threat.
Let's get some insurance runs here! Shaw to lead it off.
And Imanaga is being congratulated as he heads into the dugout,
almost as if his day is done. Lifted after just four innings
and 69 pitches? And after allowing zero hits? I hope he's got
another inning in him, also because the Japanese fans will turn
fully pro-Dodger if he comes out.
Shaw whiffs. Dansby too. Got to get something going.

Imanaga is out and Ben Brown is in. He gets Rojas swinging but
Pages walks as the strike zone doesn't seem to extend above the
batters' belts.
Ohtani with a chance to do some damage. And he does, getting
the Dodgers' first hit of the game and moving the tying run to
third.

Edman with a hit to left to bring Pages in with the tying run.
Now a grounder to third and they go for the double play, but
Berti throws the ball far over Busch's head and the go-ahead run
comes in.
Brown's pitches are all over the place compared to the control
of Imanaga. And he gives up another hit to Smith, to bring
Teoscar in with the Dodgers' third run.

Brown gets a strikeout to end the inning, but the Dodgers now
lead 3-1. It feels later but it's only the fifth inning. Maybe
we can get back into it.
