Fifth highest paid player on BEARRSSE roster @ $11833333.00.
Better be the second coming of Jesus or Mohammed or Buddha or
one of those dudes.
If we go Nate Davis II people are going to be pisssed.

One thing about trading for Jackson as opposed to signing a free
agent guard is that it might help with the formula for
determining compensatory draft picks. To get those, you have to
lose more qualified free agents than you sign.
I don't know if Sanborn is a qualified free agent, but that
could have possibly been a factor there also.

Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah were discussing they wouldn’t
be surprised if the Bears drafted Gray Zabel at pick ten. He
would play either center or guard.

@RapSheet
Sources: The #Bears are expected to trade for #Chiefs All-Pro G
Joe Thuney, as the Chicago continues to load up on the offensive
line. KC gets a bit younger, plus frees up some money to use
elsewhere.
The deal is being finalized as we speak, but sources say it's
centered around a future 4th round pick.

I believe 10 is much too high for Zabel. A trade down?

If Thuney can stay healthy and play to the level he already has
it is a good move. If he turns into an injury ridden, part time
player it is not. Time will tell but Poles looks like he's
FINALLY taken the Oline as a serious issue....
He's a guard, but if he can play to the level and length of time
John Tait that would be HUGE....

John Tait was 29 when the Bears signed him. He played until he
was 33. Thuney is already 32. And he's a free agent at the
end of the '25 season.
Bears do not have to reach for a guard at 10, but they need to
draft a guard (or two) for the future.
And Thuney is a guard who can fill in at LT (see Super Bowl).

Build through the draft, fill holes through free agency.

Nate Tice on Hoge and Jahns is not very high on Dalman. He said
he would rather draft a C.
