Would rather take a chance on Fries, Banks, or Zietler. They
would be cheaper than a 17.5 cap hit. Dalmon better be on the
docket.

Jackson was drafted by Detroit 2020 and played four seasons
including playing for Ben Johnson (so likely someone Johnson
wants) and was pro bowler 2021. 2024 Rams signed him to three
years $51m. Hurt his shoulder in camp last year put on IR.
What’s strange is when he got healthy McVay kept him on the
bench saying he liked the continuity they had. $9 m base salary
and $8.5m bonus.
PFF grades him as above average guard.
Some want the Bears to get Chase Young which I’ve always thought
would be a bad move.
However he’s only 25 and while he only had 5.5 sacks last year
he was seventh in pressures and thirteenth in hits .

I don't have any faith in Poles recognizing Oline talent. I hope
I am wrong but he's been BRUTAL so far in his GM career as far
as Oline goes. Maybe the new coaching staff can get things on
the right track- if they have the healthy bodies to do so.
If they are still trying to figure out who's playing what
position and shuffling people around willy-nilly when the
regular season starts (like previous years) then its not going
to go well.....

Who do you suggest the Bears sign to play DE opposite Sweat?
There's a lot of free agent edges available. Most are 30
plus. Some have better production than Chase Young. Young's
best attribute might be his age. Five and half sacks for a guy
who didn't start a game in 2024 ain't too shabby. Malcom
Koonce is also an option that still has some tread life.

I like Jack Sanborn, and he sure has a nose for the football,
but he is just really slow footed. Maybe they bring him back if
he doesnt get a lot of attention elsewhere.

True. But I'd like to see what Noah Sewell can do too. He's
not slow footed. Ran a 4.64 at the combine a couple years ago.

Sewell was in Everflushs dog house. Lets hope the new coaches
can give him a shot.

More info on Jonah Jackson. Although last year he only played
four games he’s only given up two sacks the last three years.
