       @mzenitz
The #Bears are expected to hire Oregon State offensive line
       coach <a
       href="
  HTML https://footballscoop.com/news/oregon-state-reportedly-losing-coach-to-the-nfl">Kyle<br
/>DeVan</a>, sources tell @CBSSports/@247Sports. DeVan, who was
an NFL offensive lineman from 2008-12, was as an assistant
offensive line coach in 2015 with the Saints, where he worked
with current Bears OL coach Dan Roushar.

Why 2 Oline coaches ? Interesting, but considering all the
coaches the last regime had it can be a question of too many
cooks in the kitchen (and of course there was that whole
       competence failure as well)....

They have young linemen and will draft more who will need one on
one coaching and individual drills that would take too much time
       away from the OL coach.

Lets hope the coaches are up to snuff and we don't see guys
looking around blocking no one (or 3 guys blocking the same guy)
       anymore....

I’m not getting too excited about anything Bears until I see
       success.
Been down that road too many times.

Griz I actually like Braxton but this is his last year on
contract. I think LT upgrade would be wise, see what Braxton
can do at LG? I would be ok with it or swing tackle. I really
like him as swing tackle. Sometimes upgrading one position (LT)
is really upgrading two positions (LT and Swing) that is where
       the team really wins.
Just the same reason I would keep Bates he is backup
center/guard. As a backup he has better value above that of a
       starter.

I agree. Move Jones inside or use him as a swing tackle. You can
always use a healthy body on the Oline.

I would avoid anyone on that Eagle Dline. Carter made them all a
lot better.....they drop and end up on another team, the stats
       disappear.....

TRAPPER JOHN : Hey mother we're the Pros From Dover and we are
here to cut DAA BEARRSE chest open ...we need some updated
x-rays ... these must be at least 38 YeARS OLD ... and I need
one OFFENSIVE LINEMAN that can work in close without getting his
EGO in the way and call the kitchen and rustle us up some food
... ham & eggs would be good ... steak would be better!
NURSE : How do you want your steaks cooked ?

Braxton Jones is serviceable at LT. I'd be interested in his
PFF grade. I think we can address other spots unless a stud
       becomes available at 10.
I don't think he has the physical make up of a guard. His
strength is his length - not his power which is evident with his
       struggles with bull rushes.
