       Thanks VJ. Good read.
The Detroit loss wasn't why Eberflous was fired. It turns out
the Washington loss postgame was the real reason he was fired.
"What’s undeniable is that plenty went wrong last year that was
beyond Williams’s control. To begin with, the Bears’ offensive
line wasn’t good enough at protecting him. Strengthening the
O-line is one of the team’s offseason priorities.
Then there was the coaching meltdown. The Bears had won four of
their first six games last season when they faced off against
Daniels and the Commanders in Washington on October 27. Chicago
appeared to have the game won, but the Commanders scored on a
fifty-two-yard Hail Mary touchdown on the final play of the game
to snatch away the victory. Worse, one of the Bears’ defensive
backs had been taunting the crowd at the beginning of the play
rather than paying attention to what was happening—a moment that
       became SportsCenter fodder.
"Even worse, Eberflus, the Bears coach, caused a firestorm when
he said that conceding a thirteen-yard gain on the play before
the Hail Mary “doesn’t really matter” and seemed to avoid
responsibility for the loss. That didn’t go over well with his
players. Williams acknowledges that this moment was a turning
point. “How he handled it at that time, for that game, was, I
think, one of the things that throughout the locker room people
talked about and were annoyed by,” he says. Eberflus was fired a
       month later."
And this is why there is hope for this season. Despite all the
       losing last year....
"As we wrap up our conversation at Café Side Hustle, I ask
Williams for his best moment from his first time through the NFL
grind. “Beating the Packers,” he says immediately.
In the final game of the season, on the road versus archrival
Green Bay, he led a late drive to set up a game-winning field
goal. After a season of frustration and close losses, everything
finally came together. On that last drive, Williams scrambled to
escape pressure and complete a pass to fellow rookie Rome
Odunze. Then Williams read the Packers’ coverage, signaled to
wide receiver D.J. Moore to change his route, and hit him in the
middle of the field to set up the kick. “The comeback was
awesome,” says Williams. The win snapped an eleven-game losing
streak against the Packers. It also showed a national audience a
glimpse of what the Caleb Williams era might look like:
       decisive, electric, thrilling."
The rest of the article give you a little insight to his
personal life and his take on last season and his career so far.
It's a really good read. Makes me like him more and root for
       him more.

There’s a lot of Tom Brady in him.
He hasn’t thrown anyone under the bus for last year but doesn’t
deny the obvious that Eberflus lost the team with the Washington
       game.

       @RapSheet
Sources: The #Bears have paid another key piece of their
defense. This time, they lock up LB TJ Edwards on a 2-year, $20M
extension with $16.6M fully guaranteed. The tackling machine
earns another done by agent @SteveCaric of @Wasserman.

On this coming Thursday Jackie will buy his annual two packs of
       Marlboro 100's.
What to eat and drink for three days ... therein lies the

Geez we never had a coach like B.J. before ...

Maximum anticipation but winning the off-season for the 3rd time
then failing (badly) in the regular season could break me as
       life-long Bears fan :D

Of course we would NEVER endorse headhunting bounties on QB's
like Buddy Ryan and current DC have been accused of propagating
       in the past.
       Would we ? :o

Nah, I give Allen a pass. That was all Gregg Williams.
Even Hamp and OB were all sunshine and rainbows in their post
       draft podcast. I'm all in.

Don't know why he would list a backup LS and K and forget
Keenum, but this is a somewhat realistic yet too early
projection. I think Scott and DomRob are PS or toast.
       @Johnathan_Wood1
Here's my best guess at Chicago's current depth chart after the
       draft.
Generally slotted rookies in fairly conservatively; they'll have
the chance to earn bigger roles in camp.
Kmet listed as "starting" TE, but he and Loveland will both play
       a lot.
