I would rather take Evan Brown, Andre James, or even Josh Meyers
before I take an older walking injury case who is mulling
retirement like Kelly. But Dalman is still the top dog for FA
centers.
Mack is like Thuney. Solid football players and locker room
leaders for probably 2 or 3 years max who will help you win now
while hopefully drafting players who can replace them. Mack
will upgrade the run defense and hopefully find that juice to
rival Quinn's accidental run in 2021.

At present, Center is the critical path going forward and I
believe Dalman will solidify that position for a few years, if
they acquire him. I'm ok with Mack if they get him, but yeah
it's only for a couple years at most. Buys more time to focus on
that position later as we all know the lines are the attention
getters at present....

I’m with VJ…I can’t see any way to get Hendrickson now, knowing
that his price tag is going to likely be 30+ per…

The Bears are signing C Drew Dalman to a three-year, $42 million
deal with $28 million guaranteed.

ESPN sources: Former Falcons center Drew Dalman reached
agreement today on a three-year, $42 million deal that includes
$28 million guaranteed with the Chicago Bears. The deal makes
Dalman the NFL’s second-highest center. Steve Caric of Wasserman
negotiated the deal with Bears GM Ryan Poles, who has poured his
resources into Chicago’s offensive line.

Drew Dalman fills another hole.
Not much left to pick : Campbell/Banks DE.
That's it. What do we pick after that ?
Talking heads say it's a good year for RB's.

A look at the Bears offensive line depth chart:
Tackle:
Darnell Wright
Braxton Jones
Kiran Amegadjie
Guard:
Joe Thuney
Jonah Jackson
Ryan Bates
Bill Murray
Jordan McFadden
Center:
Drew Dalman
Ryan Bates
Ricky Stromberg
A 1st or 2nd round draft pick and a free agent swing tackle
would make for a nice group of 9 (pushing Murray, McFadden, and
Stromberg to the practice squad).

@dave_bfr
According to CBS’s Jonathan Jones, Drew Dalman turned down more
money from other teams.
He wanted to be in Chicago.
