I know it's just preseason, but Bagant not looking too bad. It
would be nice to have a super star starting QB, and to have a
backup that is capable to win a couple games in a pinch...

I’ll say this for Fluss, the team has few penalties, the plays
get in with no confusion or timeouts, the defense knows what to
do and they tackle, and the backups don’t look like a sh…tshow

Other than the slow start on offense today you have to like what
we have seen so far.

I expect much of the first half of the season to look like the
first quarter that we saw from the offense today.
They struggled the first quarter against backups. Williams will
make some plays but defensive coordinators are going to put
things out there he hasn’t seen before.

Williams plays like Fields with his legs and has Cutlers
arm....this is going to be a fun season to watch with the
weapons he has and his arm. It's exciting to watch him...

Bears still need help on the Oline. They're letting too much
pressure get to Williams. He should not have to scramble every
single play. This is going to be a key to how far they progress
this season, if they can get that Oline at least patched up to a
average/above average level. Gotta look for more help....

Went to Bdubs with my wife just now and the Steelers were
playing the Bills. Fields had the ball to win it and came up
short as usual.

I agree. He has tons of talent, but he is a rookie. We are
going to have a lot of ups and downs. I think drafting him and
moving on from Fields was the right move. I am just not buying
the hype for this season. I expect the Bears to be around 500
this season. Anything more is gravy. Hopefully we sneak into
the playoffs to get him some experience playing at that level of
intensity, but I don't expect them to win a playoff game if they
do.
