I didn't see it but I was listening to Trubisky's first
preseason game - he was on fire. Something like 10/10 passing.
But I must admit a couple throws that Williams made were pretty
impressive.

Bummer about J.J. McCarthy.
If you have a brand new QB on your team it makes certain parts
of the male anatomy shrivel when you hear news like that.

It seemed out of the blue. Was it a pre-existing condition,
happen in the game or in practice ? Thought that was a wierd
exclusion by those reporting on it....

Happened during the game. Had soreness checked out the next day
and then boom gone for the year after weighing the options post
surgery. He's too young to do a quick cartilage swap and better
to heal naturally.
If the Bears starters sit after the Cincy practices, it would be
interesting to see if Caleb gets another 20 to 25 snaps the
following Thursday. Reid normally plays his starters.

Bears teams of the past (or at least this millennium) typically
play conservative (e.g scared). If Caleb & Co play, it will be
another indication that Halas Hall has really, really
changed....

It was in Buffalo when we played them there, it was Buffalo
anouncers.

McCarthy was hurt in practice I believe. So were 2 of
University of Texas' top running backs recently.
Williams need to see some defenses besides the ones with Cs on
their helmets even if its preseason. He seems to be able to
avoid contact for the most part. I'd play him more than 1
quarter but not more than a half this weekend.
