I think teams might be content with touchbacks for the most
part. If they start TBs at the 40 instead of the 30, there
would be more returns.
Then again, maybe teams are just hiding stuff until the real
games start.

I had stuff to do and it was really nice out so just watching
the game now. Pretty happy with everything I saw. The O-line
needs work on pass protection but pretty good other than that!

The good
- Caleb Williams (obviously). He looks the part, talks the part,
and was in control and never panicked. He's a force multiplier.
The Bears may actually have the GUY that modern NFL franchises
need.
- What was lost in the obvious is the fact that this is the
second game we've seen the Bears come and look like they know
what they are doing. There's a different vibe.
The Bad
- Oline still struggles. Caleb made them look better than they
played.
- Didnt see anything special in the punting game. Maybe holding
back until the regular season ?
THe Ugly
- Not much to nit-pick here. Velus back getting the kick and
dropping it is deja-vu of deja-vu. ALthough I think he weas only
back there because the other gut got wacked earlier on a
somewhat cheap shot.
BTW a friend (Buffalo fan) texted this morning and he
encapsulated my mood perfectly. It said simply "It appears the
Bears don't suck !" :D
I am cautiously optimistic. But lets see what happens when the
real games get here.....

Yes. We will see whether it is fools-gold and the chariot turns
into the pumpkin at the start of the season. I do get a
different vibe right now though....

I think Swift is going to be big for the Bears this year. He is
good catching the ball out of the backfield. He will be
Williams safety valve.
